More Trips/Más Viajes

Have been continuing work on the quilt that will be curtains for our bedroom. I'm having such a good time making these little Trips Around the World. I thought I wasn't happy with a couple of them so I made extras to give myself a choice. Now I have to choose.... The first photo that you see hear is the last arrangement that I made and I'm still going to change things around. The blocks go around a corner so this have a distorted appearance, especially in the photos.

Sigo con el quilt que va a ser cortinas para nuestro recamara. Disfruto tanto el proceso de hacer estos chicos Viajes Alrededor el Mundo. Pensé que no estaba feliz con dos de los bloques así que hice dos bloques extras. Ahora tengo que decidir cuales quiero usar…… La foto primera es la arregla ultimo que hice pero todavía voy a cambiar bloques antes que decidir como todo va. La pared de diseño tiene una esquina y hace los bloques aparecer torcido, especialmente en las fotos.

Georgie is back with us.

The last pup to find a new home has returned. The situation at his new place had changed and they couldn't take care of him the way he deserved so we all agreed that Georgie would come back to us. He is a little love and Fabiola has been very happy to have him back. Moma Loli has taken a bit more time to adjust but she seems to be getting used to him after his first week back.

Camping with the Babies

The beginning of the April found us camping along the Caribbean Coast of Mexico. It was wonderful!! Fabiola is really learning about the fine art of beach combing and is having fun learning about salty sea water. She is having a devil of a time learning not to drink it. Loli loves swimming and fetching and is a pro at both. We had less than a week. Our friend Gail was here for her birthday and she wanted to camp...so we did.

En los principios de abril fuimos "camping" a lo largo la orilla del Mar Caribe de México. ¡Fue maravioso! Fabiloa está aprendiendo el arte de pasear por la playa y divertiendo sus lecciones del agua salada del mar. Ella quiere beberlo. Loli le encanta nadar y jugar tirar y es muy bueno en los dos cosas. Tuvimos menos de una semana. Nuestra amiga Gail estuvo aquí por su cumpleaños y quiso acampar...así que lo hicimos.

Diamonds

The Cancun Quilters are making a new project and it comes from the Kaffe Fasset book "Simple Shapes Spectacular Quilts". I have not gotten very far with my project but Gloria had some blocks to show at a meeting not too long ago. The photo posted today is of Gloria's bloques. I've been following Wanda's progress of her same diamond project at www.exuberantcolor.blogspot.com and she has lots of blocks made. Check it out. I will be posting my blocks when I get a good amount finished.....when and if that happens.

Nosotras Quilters de Cancun estamos trabajando en un nuevo proyecto del libro de Kaffe Fasset que se llama "Simple Shape Spectacular Quilts". Una de nosotras mujeres, Gloria, tenia algunos bloques hecho para mostrar en una reunion hace unas semanas. Aquí hay una foto de los bloques de Gloria. Tambien he seguido el progreso de Wanda en su blog www.exuberantcolor.blogspot.com donde ella tiene fotos de sus bloques de diamantes. Cuando tengo más bloques listos pongo unas foto mias para ver. Nadie sabe cuando esto va a pasar.....

Magic Carpet Ride Finished...Terminado!!!

I posted about this previously.....now it is finished....HOOOOOORAYYY!!! I've had a few nights of blissful sleep under this happy quilt!!! The top is an exact copy of a Kaffe Fasset quilt in his book "Quilt Romance" and is entitled Magic Carpet. The back was inspired by Bonnie Hunter from www.quiltville.com a design called Scrappy Trips Around the World. It is a blast working with Kaffe's fabrics, they are so happy and alive!!!

He mentionado este quilt antes....y ahora ya es terminado......FABULOSO!!! He tenido unas noches de sueños dichoso abajo de este quilt tan alegre!!! La tapa es una copia exacta del libre por Kaffe Fasset, "Quilt Romance" y el quilt se llama Magic Carpet (Alfombra Magica). La inspiracicón para la espalda viene de Bonnie Hunter de su sitio www.quiltville.com y el diseño se llama Scrappy Trips Around the World (¿Viaje de Muchos Retazos Alrededor el Mundo?). Es muy emocionante trabajando con le tela de Kaffe Fasset, son tan alegres y vivante!!!

Wonky Quilts

Some time ago in our quilting group we all shared our scraps and made quilts using Wonky Blocks. We are a group of approximately eight and three of us have finished their Wonky Block Quilt projects. I am not one of them. But here are photos of two the the completed quilts. I still have to photograph the other one - which was the first quilt finished - the next time I'm at the quilt makers house.

En el grupo de quilteras aquí en Cancun hicimos proyectos en que compartimos nuestros retazos y hicimos quilts hecho de "Bloques Wonky". El grupo consiste de aproximadamente ocho personas. De todas de nosotras que empezó este proyecto hay tres que ya han terminado sus quilts. Yo no estoy una persona que terminó el proyecto. Tengo photos de dos de los quilts terminados. Cuando puedo sacar una foto del otro quilt voy a ponerlo en este blog.
