New Hexagon Millefiore Quilt Along Project AND SQUIRRELS

This is the last day of January and I don't have the 3rd round of hexagons finished.  I've been working on it but I'm not happy with what I have, YET!   I cut out and glued the outer blue fabric on but wasn't happy.  Back to the drawing board.  I've started using Corel Draw to flesh out my fabric choices and that way not waste time and fabric thru trial and error.  I worked late last night and have some good possibilities.  Tomorrow we get the instructions for the February Hexagons.....will I be able to catch up? and or keep up?  It's a mystery!!

Este es el último día de enero y no tengo la tercera ronda de hexágonos terminados. He estado trabajando en él, pero no estoy contento con lo que tengo, todavía! Corté y pegué la tela azul exterior  pero no era feliz. Volver a la mesa de dibujo. He empezado a utilizar Corel Draw para dar cuerpo a mis opciones de la tela y de esa manera no perder el tiempo y la tela a través de ensayo y error. Trabajé hasta tarde anoche y tengo algunas buenas posibilidades. Mañana tenemos las instrucciones para los hexágonos de febrero ..... ¿voy a ser capaz de ponerse al día? ¿y o mantener el ritmo? ¡¡Es un misterio!!

Then there is the SQUIRREL Brigade!!!  Yep I'm making squirrels, squirrels and more squirrels!!  They are so cute!!!

¡¡¡Y También está la Brigada ARDILLA!!! ¡¡Sí estoy haciendo ardillas, ardillas y más ardillas!! ¡¡¡Ellos son tan chulos!!!

The New Hexagon Millefiore Quilt Along

Well, I'm quilting along - or at least trying to get my 37 pieced hexagons completed for this month!!!  It's really a lot of thinking and vacillating and hoping I'm not totally ruining it!  I've chosen a fabric collection that I've been saving for years and years and you know it's all fussy cut so I just worry if I'm making a big mess of my beloved fabric or onto something just lovely.......

Pues, estoy trabajando en el Proyecto "New Hexagon Millefiore Quilt Along".  Este mes hay 37 hexágonos para hacer.  He tenido mucho problema en llegando a decisiones. Escogí una colección de tela que he guardado por años y tengo miedo que estoy haciendo un gran lio de esta amada tela o posiblemente estoy creyendo algo lindo......  La foto muestra que he hecho hasta ahora y hay dos rondas más de hexágonos antes que el trabajo por enero esté terminado.

My Block Lotto Blocks for January are DONE!!

Hey, here it is a week later and I'm posting!  As you know I'm involved in a Online Quilting thing called Block Lotto (www.blocklotto.com) and each month requirements and instructions are given for the making of blocks that are at the end of the month offered up for a random lottery winner.  I have not been able to participate since last September.  We are not required to make the blocks each month if we aren't able to.  This month I was determined to jump back in and offer up my blocks.  So here are 9 blocks for the lottery.  I wouldn't mind winning these!

Oye, aquí está una semana después y otra ¿post?! Como usted sabe que estoy involucrado en una cosa de quilting en línea llamado Bloque Lotto (www.blocklotto.com) y los requerimientos de cada mes y se le da instrucciones para la fabricación de los bloques que se encuentran al final del mes se ofrece para un ganador de la lotería al azar . No he sido capaz de participar desde el pasado mes de septiembre. No estamos obligados a hacer los bloques de cada mes, si no somos capaces de hacerlo. Cada semana se nos da una tarea. No he hecho ninguna de las 2 tareas TODAVÍA ..... Estoy esperando que en el transcurso del fin de semana voy a llegar a ella. Realmente necesito ayuda en mi cuarto de costura. Nunca he sido una persona organizada y me cuesta mucho en el tiempo tratando de localizar cosas que necesito para hacer el trabajo. Espero que esto ayude.

Oh Lordy it's been a half a year and I have been a very bad blogger!!!

I do so deeply apologize for running amok with my blog!!!  Thanks to all my neglected followers who have come here and found nothing new on my blog.  I just don't know where the time flies off to.... a friend's mother said so many many years ago "you have time to do just what you want to do" ..... well does that mean I didn't want to post to my blog?  NO!!  It means I'm a very poor time manager!!  So my goal....and oh boy I'm going out on a limb here.... MY GOAL FOR 2015..... A POST A WEEK.....OR A POST A MONTH....NO....I'm going to try for a post a week to redeem myself in front of all blogdom!!!

So what have I been up to?????  WWEEEELLLL I have been making tons and tons of hexaon 'petals' for future hexagon projects.  I found a project that I'm actively working on called "My Flower Garden" from a book I purchased by Edyta Sitar called "Handfuls of Scraps"

Yo tan profundamente pido disculpas por que causan estragos con mi blog !!! Gracias a todos mis seguidores olvidadas que han venido aquí y han encontrado nada nuevo en mi blog. Sólo que no sé dónde está el tiempo vuela a .... la madre de un amigo dicho hace muchos muchos años "tiene tiempo para hacer exactamente lo que quiere hacer" ..... bien qué significa eso yo no 't quiere publicar en mi blog? NO !! Significa que soy un administrador de tiempo muy pobre !! Así que mi objetivo .... y madre mía Voy a salir a un miembro aquí .... MI META DE 2015 ..... UN PUESTO UNA SEMANA ..... O UN PUESTO UN MES .... NO .... voy a tratar para un puesto a la semana para redimirme ante todo blogdom !!!

Así que ¿qué he estado haciendo ????? WWEEEELLLL he estado haciendo toneladas y toneladas de hexagonos "pétalos" para futuros proyectos hexagonales. Me pareció un proyecto que estoy trabajando activamente en llamado "Mi Jardín de las Flores" de un libro que compré por Edyta Sitar llamado "Puñados de Recortes"

The top diamond is a photo before it was sewn together and the bottom photo is actually the first two diamonds that I made and I was very curious as to how they would sew together.  It turned out better than I expected.  Now I need to make just tons of the neutral background hexagons for filling in the backgrounds.  Oh JOY here I go!!!!  and if anyone is interested I'm participating in a blog just on hexagons.  Many people post there that are making just fabulous English Paper Pieced Projects, 'cuz that's what this sort of quilting is called "English Paper Piecing".  It involves basting fabric around a hexagon shaped piece of paper and then whip stitching the hexagons (I call them petals as they most commonly go to be made into flowerlettes) together to form the quilt.   The address for the Hexagon Alley Blog is:  hexagonalley.wordpress.com   go have a look if you are interested.

El diamante de arriba es una foto antes de que se cose juntos los hexágonos y la foto inferior es en realidad los dos primeros diamantes que hice y me quedé muy curioso en cuanto a cómo iban a coser juntos. Resultó mejor de lo que esperaba. Ahora tengo que hacer sólo un montón de los neutrales hexágonos de fondo para la cumplimentación de los fondos. Oh ALEGRÍA aquí voy !!!! y si alguien está interesado que estoy participando en un blog sólo en hexágonos. Muchas personas publican ahí que están haciendo simplemente fabulosos Inglés Papel Pieced Proyectos, 'primo que es lo que este tipo de acolchado se llama "Inglés Papel juntar las piezas". Se trata de hilvanar la tela alrededor de una pieza en forma de hexágono de papel y luego coser los hexágonos juntos (que yo llamo los pétalos a medida que más comúnmente van a ser hecho en flowerlettes) para formar la colcha.
