MORE SQUIRRELS!!!!!

OOPppsss!  I've not been a good blogger AGAIN!!  Well, nothing to do but to jump back in.  SEW......what have I been up to?  SQUIRRELS!!  Yep, this year everybody in my sewing group gets Squirrels for their birthday gifts.......only one person is left to receive her squirrel and she's already seen them.....so no spoiler here!

OOPppsss! Yo no he sido un buen blogger OTRA VEZ !! Bueno, nada que ver, pero para saltar de nuevo. SEW ...... ¿qué he estado haciendo? ARDILLAS !! Sí, este año todo el mundo en mi grupo de costura recibe Ardillas por sus regalos de cumpleaños ....... sólo una persona se deja de recibir su ardilla y ya los ha visto ..... así que no hay alerón aquí!

the fella in the middle is my little guy....he was the first one that I made and due to failure to follow directions correctly he turned out smaller.....but I love him so he stays with me!  Oh and notice the WHISKERS!!! (if you can) that's my addition after seeing a sewing sister put whiskers on her mouse pin cushion I just had to start adding them.

el chico en el medio es mi pequeño individuo .... él fue el primero que hice y debido al incumplimiento de las instrucciones correctamente resultó menor ..... pero yo lo amo por lo que se queda conmigo! Ah, y notar las BIGOTES!!! (si es posible) que es mi adición después de ver a una hermana de costura puso bigotes en su alfiletero ratón sólo tenía que empezar a añadir ellos.

March Progress

 These are Blocks for the quilt back for the quilt I'm trying to finish in March (Ain't gonna happen).  At the time I took this photo I had 34 of the 64 blocks I still need for the backing constructed.

Esta foto es de unos bloques que ya estan terminados y estan esperando para ser costurado en la espalda del quilt que quiero terminar este mes (no es possible a terminar el quilt en el mes de marzo).

Working on UFO with Wild Hopes of a March Finish.

Once again my sewing room is vomiting up fabrics!  I'm trying to put together likely fabric combinations in the hopes of making progress on my July Sparkle Quilt.....the blocks made will go on the back of the  quilt.  So there are hot colours to choose from

This is a quarter of the backing pieced together.  I did this in 2013.   Sorry I'm out of design wall space so this is the best I can show.  There is another quarter panel of backing but it's even in a worse spot for photographing....

It's New Hexagon Millefiori Week at my house

Yep this first week of March I have dedicated my sewing time to work on my Millefiori.  I'm behind as per usual!  I still have the last 6 hexagons to make for the January Rosette (but the fabric is chosen and cut out).  During the course of this week I've printed the hexagon patterns and marked the backs of some of them and cut out the pieces for those that I've marked the backs of.  Then to decide which fabrics to use I employ the aid of my trusty CorelDraw program, so I've arrived at a begginning of an idea for the February Rosette, at least, I've decided on the center hexagon and the first round of hexagons.  So here I'll show you my 'mock-up' of what I have so far.....and last night I cut the fabric for round one.   Anyway that's PROGRESS!!!!

Sí esta primera semana de marzo he dedicado mi tiempo de costura para trabajar en mi Millefiori. ¡Estoy detrás como de costumbre! Todavía tengo los últimos 6 hexágonos para hacer para el Rosette de enero (pero la tela se elige y cortar). Durante el transcurso de esta semana He impreso los patrones hexagonales y marqué las espaldas de algunas de ellas y cortar las piezas de las que he marcado las espaldas de. Luego de decidir que las telas de usar yo empleo la ayuda de mi programa CorelDraw  por lo que he llegado a un comienza de una idea para el Rosette de febrero, al menos, he decidido en el hexágono central y la primera ronda de hexágonos . Así que aquí te voy a mostrar mi 'maqueta' de lo que tengo hasta ahora ..... y anoche me corté la tela para una ronda. ¡De todos modos eso es PROGRESO!

See what I did?  it's the same fabric just cut from a different part of it.
Véase lo que hice? es la misma tela acaba de cortar de una parte diferente de la misma.

Anybody out there in blogland have any input?  Nothing is sown together as of yet and I'd be so happy for some advice.  Thanks in advance for any and all responders!!

Talavera Quilt Finished in February 2015!!!!

Why YES it's done!!  We started our Triangle Tangle Projects Oh way back in the Spring of 2014.  Now I'm happy to say that my version of this quilt pattern is done.  I think that most of us in our Cancun Quilt Group all made our versions of this quilt.  One day I'll get all of us together with our quilts and I'll post the photos.  It's always fun to see how fabric choice and colour placement change a quilt design!  This is my first finish of 2015 but I sincerely hope it's not the last!

¡Lo Terminé! Comenzamos nuestra Triangle Tangle Proyectos en la primavera de 2014. Ahora estoy feliz de decir que mi versión de este modelo del quilt está hecho. Creo que la mayoría de nosotras en nuestra Quilt Grupo Cancún todas se nos dio nuestras versiones de esta quilt. Un día voy a conseguir todas juntas con nuestros quilts y voy a publicar las fotos. Siempre es divertido ver cómo opción de la tela y la colocación de color cambian un diseño del quilt! Esta es mi primera final de 2015, pero yo sinceramente espero que no sea la última!

and just because for some demented reason I like to make my quilts with a double aspect here's the back.  I call it my ego side and this time my ego is most certainly inflated!!  But there you have it!  I really don't think I could make the letters smaller anyway!  I'm very happy with the outcome!!

y sólo porque por alguna razón demente me gusta hacer mis quilts con un doble aspecto aquí está la parte de atrás. Yo lo llamo este lado el ego y esta vez mi ego es ciertamente inflados !! Pero ahí lo tienen! Realmente no creo que pueda hacer las letras más pequeñas de todos modos! Estoy muy contento con el resultado !!

Progress on The Garden Flower Project & Block Lotto Blocks

The center is together on this hexagon project that I have handy when I need a hand project.  Mostly it sees progress during the meetings of my quilt group, no sewing machines to tote back and forth so it's a perfect portable project (PPP).  

El centro se encuentra juntos en este proyecto hexágono que tengo a mano cuando necesito un proyecto de la mano. Sobre todo se ve progreso en las reuniones de mi grupo de quilt, no hay máquinas de coser para llevar de ida y vuelta, así que es un proyecto portátil perfecto (PPP).

AND then Block Lotto Blocks are finished and posted for February.  I got all nine done that are required to be in the running for winning the lottery.  Wish me luck!!!  I have really fallen in love with these pretty Cupid's Arrows.  What a great February theme!

Y entonces "Block Lotto" Bloques que son terminado y publicado en febrero. Tengo todo hecho nueve que se requieren para estar en la carrera para ganar la lotería. Desearme suerte !!! Realmente he enamorado de estas bonitas flechas de Cupido. ¡Qué gran tema de Febrero!

Broke Back MareBare!!

Oh Lordie it has been so long since I've gotten down on the floor to bat a quilt......and it HURT!!!  and to add insult to injury....I pieced the batting (not shown) to conserve on batting material and eliminate excess pieces of batting that has been taking up space......so that meant I slip stitched all those bits of batting to keep it all held together while it's being quilted.  Around 12 hours later....I felt like someone had take a bat to my poor old back!!!  and hips!!! and knees!!! and neck!!!  Well, that job is done and now all I have to do is to quilt the darned thing!!!

¡Dios Mio!  ¡Ha sido tanto tiempo desde que he bajado al suelo a batear un quilt ...... y me dolió! y para colmo de males .... monté el bateo (no se muestra) para conservar el material de bateo y eliminar el exceso de piezas de bateo que ha sido ocupando espacio ...... así que quise decir he costurado todos esos trositos de bateo para mantener todo mantiene unida mientras se está acolchada. Alrededor de 12 horas más tarde .... me sentí como si alguien tenía tome un bate a mi pobre espalda !!! y las caderas !!! y rodillas !!! y el cuello !!! Bueno, ese trabajo está hecho y ahora todo lo que tengo que hacer es acolchar la maldita cosa !!!
